I`ve been drinking at Jovial Forester for 40 years.
Reasons for drinking at the Jovial Forester.
I enjoy the company and the banter, everyone is so friendly. It has managed to maintain the old charm of an English village pub and not become an impersonal licensed restaurant like, sadly, so many of the pubs have become today.
Other reasons why I drink at the Jovial include:
It's within easy walking distance,
I can escape the wife for a while and it's the only place to get a proper tasting pint of Real Ale

Jovial Forester
Tucked away towards the end of Northfields Road in the Forest Green area of Nailsworth, former headquarters of Conference side Forest Green Rovers, is the Jovial Forester. Known to the locals as the Jovials, the pub has been a local amenity for many years, overlooking the beautiful Nailsworth valley.
