hello Roy Virgoe here... I`ve been nominated for adoption 29 times	I`m 79 years old, & my favourite drink is Guest Ale (Cask) I`ve been drinking at Black Swan Hotel for 27 years.
The manager is sociable and provides good ale. Even when he is feeling mean he lets you have a taster before buying a drink. The clientele are generally acceptable to a discerning drinker such as myself. Generally (and seriously) good ale, comfortable rooms and an excellent variety of ales.

The Black Swan Bar, Bistro & Hotel - Experts on Real Ale The Black Swan is a lively town centre bar, bistro and hotel which specialises in Real Ales. In its first year of being recognised as a CAMRA (CAMPAIGN FOR REAL ALE) pub The Black Swan was voted CAMRAS 'Gloucester pub of the season and finished third in the whole of the County. The bar offers six real ales that come from all over the Country and change continually some of, which are totally exclusive to the Black Swan. A broad range of mainline bar drinks is also offered to meet the needs of all the patrons. The Black Swan has a vibrant night life and is close to 4 of Gloucester's larger nightclubs.
